How to download Google Chrome redistributable package

On a Windows system if you want to install Google Chrome you need an Internet connection available, there’s not an offline installer so the browser gets downloaded and installed while connected to the Internet. If you are an IT administrator or need to install Chrome on many computers this can be a real pain and also a waste of bandwith and time.

Google does not provide any link to an offline installer, but there’s a way of getting it using the following url:

http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?standalone=1

You can also download the latest offline installer of the beta version using this link:

http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?extra=betachannel&standalone=1

Now, having downloaded a full installer you can install Google Chrome on any number of computers you like. No more pain, only joy. Just keep in mind that by using these offline installers the auto-update option may not work, so you’ll most likely have to manually redownload the installer when there is a new update.
