Browsershots, how does your site looks on different browsers
When developing a website chances are it won’t look the same on different browsers. I always try to make all my sites with valid (X)HTML and CSS, but even following the standards at the end there are some differences between how I see them and how the visitors do. This very site is a great example, it looks good on firefox, chrome, opera, konqueror, safari and even IE7 and IE8 but not on IE6.
One way to check your site is to install as much browsers as you can on your computer and test your designs locally. If you can’t do that there is another option: use browsershots.org, a website that generates screenshots of how websites appear on the most commonly used web browsers of four different OS.
Don’t forget to check it out and see how your site looks not only on different browsers but also at different screen resolutions. Now you can be sure that what you see is what your visitors will see too.
